Steven, honest question: what made you think you'd be better off creating a new drumming software from scratch rather then an (or several) expansion pack for the current offerings? It's probably to with the license fees they are charged. I'm NOT buying a new drum software when I have the current best and can expand on it already.Įven if the new SSD had a couple features improved over SD2, like say the ability to have separate control for the ride and such (as opposed to being overheads only), but it's still not what would make me switch format.
Why not create an expansion pack for those and be done with it? (Barresi?) surely the market is there already! an expansion pack is way easier to sell than a brand new software (eliminating first generation bugs and all that goes with new software releases) Even though I love what Slate is doing, why release something "new" when SD2 and BFD are the top of the crop!
